Business Insurance
What is Business Insurance?
Business Insurance is designed to protect your business assets in the event of a loss that is covered under your insurance policy.
The main types of insurance include:
-
Property insurance covers tangible assets you have, including your building, furniture and fixtures, computer equipment, etc. Examples of exposures that would put these assets at risk include fire, wind, hail and vandalism.
-
Liability insurance covers you in the event a third-party brings suit against you for bodily injury or property damage. Examples would include if someone is hurt on your premises, or if they are injured using a product or service you sell.
- Business Income - would your business survive if you had to close your doors for a period of time because of a fire or other covered loss? Business income insurance pays for your loss of income in the event of a covered loss under your policy.
-
Inland Marine insurance can cover a wide range of assets, including computers, contractors equipment as well as builders risk coverage.
-
Workers Compensation insurance covers your employees for injuries that incur as a result of their employment. This includes injuries that may happen as a result of materials and equipment they use as well as accidents that may occur when they travel on company business.
-
Commercial Automobile insurance covers your vehicles not only when there is a car accident, but also includes coverage for medical payments, towing and labor and rental reimbursement.
- Commercial Umbrella takes your liability insurance limits a step further by providing higher limits and broader coverages in the event of a covered loss that exceeds your primary limits. An example would be a multi-million dollar suit against your company for a covered loss under your policy. Unfortunately, these scenarios are becoming more and more common.
